Punchestown
Punchestown Racecourse has been transformed into a state of the art complex capable of catering for the huge crowds, which are now attracted to race meetings there throughout the National Hunt Season. It is also the home of the Irish National Hunt Festival, a four day spectacle which attracts the crème de la crème of National Hunt Racehorses from across Europe to race at it's €1.6 Million festival. It is a major attraction for overseas visitors, especially from the UK, who come in their thousands to sample the unique Irish atmosphere and 'craic' during the Festival which takes place in late April or early May each year. This is one of the principal National Hunt events of the season including The BMW Steeplechase, The Heineken Gold Cup, the LAWS Champion Four Year Old Hurdle and the Emo Oil Champion Hurdle. Together with a top class supporting card, this meeting attracts a plethora of the very best equine talent from all corners of the British Isles.

There are a total of fourteen fixtures scheduled to take place at Punchestown for the 2003 / 2004 Racing season apart from the Festival and there are 8 Grade 1 Races spread out among the various cards making each fixture a display of top class National Hunt racing and a very exciting and enjoyable day out for all.

Alongside the superb racing, Punchestown also boasts top class restaurant facilities with the Panoramic, a glass-fronted restaurant overlooking the racecourse and the de Robeck restaurant which also serves a four course luncheon and has two sittings throughout the day. There is also a self-service restaurant and numerous snack food outlets throughout the grandstand. During the festival a Champagne bar as well as various hospitality marquees are always packed to capacity and have a special atmosphere all of their own which adds to the already outstanding amenities. There are also crèche facilities available on the majority of race days.

The Punchestown Event Centre
A state of the art Event and Exhibition Centre was added to the Punchestown complex in 2001. This 60,000 square foot single span unit enjoys many advantages unique to Punchestown including unlimited free car parking, excellent access routes from North and South in an ideal location just off the N7 with the added advantage of top class back up facilities from the redeveloped racecourse facilities. The design brief of the Punchestown Event Centre focused on the provision of maximum space and flexibility ensuring The Event Centres suitability for a wide range of events and exhibitions, which have included Santa's Kingdom, The Farm Machinery Show, Our House & Garden Exhibition and a number of Agricultural exhibitions and events. Bookings for the remainder of 2003 and 2004 involve a number of events returning following a successful visit in year one of opening, which proves how popular the venue has become in a short space of time."
