The track at is well respected by owners and trainers who often prepare their horses here prior to the Cheltenham Festival. Often the horses who win at Navan, go on to perform well in major races in the UK.

Navan's recent €2.5 million development has provided new bars, a large self-service restaurant and new corporate facilities overlooking the racetrack. These new facilities which opened at the end of 1998 have been welcomed by Navan's loyal patrons who come again and again to this friendly welcoming track.

Navan Racecourse and Navan Golf Club are less than an hours drive from Dublin and with in easy reach of Drogheda, Dundalk, Newry, the Midlands and the M4 Dublin-Galway Road.

Navan Golf Club, situated on the grounds of the racecourse, has a fantastic 10-hole golf course (par 72 championship course). navan Gold Club won the 1999 landscape award sponsored by An Bord Gais. Comprising 6,800 yards with sand based greens on undulating ground with five water hazards to test the mettle of all categories of golfer. There is also a 15 bay driving range covered and floodlit. Golf lessons are also available with our Golf Professional.
